Young
and old had a blast during our last event of the year. The 'young'
enjoyed the visit of St. Nicolas, who arrived by boat through the
Intercoastal. He brought lots of gifts for our well-behaving kids, while
our Painting Clown did her best creating pieces of art on their faces.
Later during the day, the 'old' had lots of fun humming along with
Barbara, our karaoke singer, who has become a familiar faces at our events.
We also unveiled our club flag,
designed by long-time member and artist, Karel Dupre. The flag symbols the
blend between our Belgian heritage and our adopted Florida state. We
celebrated this important event by 'baptizing' it with champagne and
inviting everyone present to toast along. Among the champagne and the
Belgian chocolate, the laughs and the cheers, while not forgetting
Jeanine's wonderful food delicacies (Thanks, Jeanine! Our meals wouldn't
be the same without your cooking!), we rounded off 2004.
To all our members: thank you for your loyal
support this year. The year 2004 was an exciting one; hopefully, 2005
will also be a prosperous one. In the name of Marc and Cathy, may this
new year bring you lots of joy, love and health and we hope to see you
at our first event 2005!
