Our Belgian Independence Day was a great sucess! Like last year, we
celebrated this important event at Bobby Rubino's in Pompano Beach.
We had champagne, Belgian beer, great food and, of course, our
'trademark' cake with strawberries and white chocolate, made specially
for the Belgian Club by Croissant Time.
Many thanks to Pascale Van Cleemput for taking care of our
invitations to our members. Another thanks to our friends for coming out
and spending a good time together, to Paul from Bobby Rubino's and his
team for their hospitality and speedy service, Rob Arenth for the music
and entertainment, and to our Consul, Manuel Molina and Guy Posschelle
for reminding us, once more, that becoming an American is no longer a
burden on our longings of keeping our nationality ties to our "vaderland"
or "patrie". Last, but not least, a very special thanks to
Berengère Cotton Hosdey from Tournai (Doornik) for sharing with us some
unique and tasty specialty Belgian beers (7.5%! oh lala!). We wish her
all the best in her import business!
